A beloved, multi-talented actress, comedienne and singer, Vicki is best known for the many characters she originated on CBS’s The Carol Burnett Show, where she appeared for the entire series run from 1967 to 1978. Her portrayal of the iconic “Mama” character was so popular that NBC subsequently created her own sitcom of the same name. Vicki also hopes to be back on the road soon with her hilarious stage production, Vicki Lawrence and Mama: A Two Woman Show. No laughing matter for Vicki, however, has been Chronic idiopathic urticaria (CIU), chronic hives with no identifiable cause. In fact, she has recently partnered with the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America for the campaign, CIU & You, to raise awareness and help the 1.6 million Americans who suffer from it.
